Constipation is very common but not for that, less important. It must be treated to prevent it from hampering normal life and, in addition, it becomes a major problem.

To fight it, obviously, the first thing we must do is try to take better care of these factors; that is, take care of the diet, increase the water intake and the frequency of exercises. You can also resort to some remedies for constipation, as complementary measures.

Remember that remedies for constipation (or any other condition) of a natural kind, should not be taken as a main treatment, but as supplements. On the other hand, we must avoid self-medication of commercial laxatives, since we can create a dependency and suffer various side effects.

1. Aloe vera juice

Aloe vera juice or aloe vera can help to evacuate more frequently. Of course, it does not always have an immediate effect. It is recommended to drink a glass of juice every day to help the digestive system to move the waste until its expulsion via anal. 2. Apple

The apple is one of the best remedies for constipation. This fruit contains pectin; a substance that promotes intestinal functioning. In addition, it provides a significant amount of fiber, necessary to soften the stool and encourage its expulsion, according to data from an investigation of the Faculty of Medicine of the Ohio State University (United States).

3. Banana

This is one of the fruits that help promote good digestion and improve bowel movement. It provides a good amount of fiber, which acts as a powerful natural laxative to facilitate the expulsion of feces. A piece of banana contributes, on average, 12% of the recommended amount of daily fiber. In addition, it contains oligosaccharides, substances that, upon reaching the large intestine, contribute to a good digestion.

4. Green tea

One of those benefits is its ability to promote good digestion and stimulate the expulsion of waste that accumulates in the colon. This tea has a slight laxative effect, which helps to combat constipation.

5. Oatmeal

People suffering from constipation should include more oats in their diet. This food contains carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals and fiber, which contribute to better digestion and prevent constipation. The ideal is to consume it at breakfast, but it can also be added to smoothies, soups and salads.

6. Flaxseed

Flax seeds are characterized as being a food with a high content of fiber and omega 3 fatty acids. It also has light laxative properties, which can help improve bowel movement to evacuate waste and cleanse the colon. It is recommended to soak, overnight, a spoonful of flax seeds in a glass of water, and to drink the morning after fasting.

7. Olive oil and lemon

Another remedy for constipation that is easy to prepare and completely natural is olive oil with lemon. Just dilute the juice of a lemon in a cup of hot water and add a tablespoon of olive oil. It is recommended to drink every morning on an empty stomach.

8. Apple cider vinegar and honey

Another of the remedies for constipation is to dilute 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar and 1 teaspoon of honey in a glass of water. Mix all the ingredients and drink this natural laxative three times a day. In a short time the intestinal transit will be much more regular.

With these remedies for constipation we will be able to help our intestines to move the waste and expel them more frequently. It should be noted that, once we start taking one of these remedies, we should not combine it with others, as they could cause side effects, such as an episode of diarrhea, for example.
